Life after death for Christ means life after death for all who trust in Him.
Romans 4:25 He was handed over to die because of our sins, and He was raised from the dead to make us right with God. (NLT)
These words which describe the Savior’s willing sacrifice for our sins, is just part of a number of verses in Romans chapter 4, that speak of Old Testament Abraham’s faith. Abraham was a pagan man living in a pagan society when God came to him and told him to go to a land God would reveal. Abraham’s
job was to pack up and start moving — it was God’s job to lead him! The apostle Paul points you to Abraham because he was an example of faith . . . responding to the offer of God.
What is God offering you today? I read of a couple who were just starting out; had kids; good jobs . . . God stirred their hearts to sell their roomy home, give up their jobs, reduce their possessions through yard sales, and move to a trailer park in a high crime neighborhood to start a church! The couple said, “commitment comes before clarity.” That’s what Abraham did. That’s what you can do. The point is, the same God who raised Christ from the dead and gave Abraham a son after the age of 100, can resurrect the deadness of your life and lead you to a place touched by His grace!
