The apostle Paul writes of God reaching out to His people and bringing them together into His church.
Ephesians 1:18 [The apostle Paul wrote] I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened, so that you will know what is the hope of His calling . . . (NASB)
The apostle Paul prays for the Ephesian believers to understand the glorious hope that has come into their lives with their adoption as sons and daughters into the family of God. The same is true for Christians today. As a Christ-follower you have been given an inheritance in heaven – just as if you had been a naturally born child of God.
Hope is yours because God has called you to Himself and to an ultimate eternity in Heaven. God “so loved” you that He sent His only Son to die for your sins. No one can stumble for long in the darkness of discouragement, when you take stock of the rich blessings that are yours as you live in the light of Christ!
