Ingredients

Souperbowl just got a whole lot tastier!

  • 4-5 Ribs of Celery Diced Small
  • 1/2 Onion Diced Small
  • 3-4 Garlic Cloves Minced
  • 1 Stick of Butter
  • 1/2 Cup Flour
  • 1 Cup White cooking wine
  • 2 Quarts Vegetable Stock
  • Salt and Pepper to taste
  • 1 Tsp Old Bay Seasoning
  • 1 Tsp File Powder
  • 1 Pound fresh crabmeat (claw or lump)
  • 1 Cup Heavy Cream

Method-

In a large pot, sauté the celery onions and garlic in the butter until the veggies are tender. Add flour and stir to combine, turn heat to low. After about a minute, add wine to deglaze. Continue to cook and stir often until liquid has dissipated. Add stock and seasonings. Bring to a simmer and cook for 20 minutes. Add crabmeat and cream. turn off the heat and serve! Makes 2 1/2 Quarts
