As votes are cast today on Election Day, we are casting our cares upon the Lord! Thank you for joining Family Life for special Day of Prayer as we remember that Jesus is the only true hope for our nation. Below is a list of prayers for each hour. Please be sure to share them with your family and friends so they can be praying too!

6AM - God's Will
“Father, we pray that our country would set aside our own agendas and seek your will for our country.”
Proverbs 3:5-6 – “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight”.
7AM - God's Peace
“Lord, we pray that as people cast their votes and those votes are tallied, that your peace would prevail across the country and in our own hearts.”
John 16:33 – “I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.”
8AM - God's Forgiveness
“We know that despite our love for you, our sinful nature causes us to stumble and fall short of your glory. God, we thank you that we have been cleansed and forgiven by the blood of Jesus!”
Colossians 3:13 – “Bearing with one another and, if one has a complaint against another, forgiving each other; as the Lord has forgiven you, so you also must forgive.
9AM - Hope in Jesus
“Lord, we know that Jesus is our only real hope, in this world and the next. Father, we pray that hearts would look not to politicians and political parties to save our country, but to you and you only!”
Psalm 71:14 – “I wait for the LORD, my whole being waits, and in his word, I put my hope”.
10AM - Elected Representatives
“Lord, we pray for those in authority regardless of whether they received our vote, or not. God, may they seek your wisdom and your will in all they do.”
Romans 13:1 – “Everyone must submit himself to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God”.
11AM - The Church
“Father God, we ask you to bring about a revival in our churches; to protect, inspire, and equip our pastors and church leaders so that we may all be united in Christ.”
Romans 12:5 – “So we, though many, are one body in Christ, and individually members one of another”.
12PM - Families
“God, we pray away the enemy’s plan to wreck marriages and destroy families. We ask you to heal our hearts and strengthen families, especially where disagreements over politics have created tension and division.”
1 John 4:20 – “If anyone says, “I love God,” and hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who does not love his brother whom he has seen cannot love God whom he has not seen’.
1PM - Communities
“Lord, help us to speak words of life and to show your love to everyone, as you have commanded, even when there are political differences.”
1 Corinthians 1:10 – “I appeal to you, brothers, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you agree, and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be united in the same mind and the same judgment”.
2PM - Police/First Responders/National Guard
“Father God, as we seek your peace today, and in the days ahead following the election, we pray for your protection for those who have been tasked with responding to unrest, protests, and disturbances when they occur in our communities. Please Lord, keep them safe from harm!”
Matthew 5:9 – “Blessed be the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God”.
