Family Life Ministries has an opening for a full-time Web Developer/Tier 1 Support. Family Life, in its 67th year of ministry, has plans to build a new world-class headquarters in Corning, NY that will allow for the growth and expansion of our performing arts, events, and Hope & Healing counseling ministry departments, as well as our regional radio network which consists of over 70 broadcast signals in New York and Pennsylvania. The Web Developer/Tier 1 Support person will work closely with the Webmaster on performing daily functions.  The individual chosen to fill this position will have the opportunity of working with a talented team of over 60 staff members.  An overwhelming sense of God’s call to use one’s talents and life to advance His work are necessary requirements to fill this position.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist with new/updated website content
  • Assist with daily/weekly/monthly tasks such as posting “Family Life Report”, Verse of the Day,  coloring pages, contests, advertisement banners, etc.
  • Help keep WordPress, Plugins, and Widgets up to date and fresh.
  • Work with the Webmaster and CS departments on new “Fresh” looks for the site.
  • Creation of redirects and webforms
  • Using scripting or authoring languages, management tools, content creation tools, applications, and digital media.
  • Assist with maintaining and updating online player, Family Life app, and recently played.
  • Assist with Raiser’s Edge Data Imports, Constituent Verify, Gift exports/imports, Sync RE data from NXT to Onsite.  Merge Letters for CEO and assist with reports and exports.
  • Assist with setup and maintenance of software like SalesForce, ClickUp, and others.
  • Assist with Sharathon software and data entry
  • Help IT staff with responding trouble tickets in a prompt manor.
  • Attend Monday Morning IT Staff Meetings.
  • Attend Weekly Wednesday Staff Meetings.
  • Reports to Director of Information Technology

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Knowledge of web technologies such as HTML, CSS, Javascript, PHP, APIs
  • Raiser’s Edge or other Donor Database familiarity
  • Knowledge and expertise in Microsoft SQL server
  • Knowledge and expertise in Microsoft Power Automate
  • Knowledge of Salesforce and Clickup a plus
  • Willingness to learn, grow, and maintain knowledge of new technologies and industry standards
  • Passionate about the mission and vision of Family Life Ministries and how it translates to people inside and outside Family Life
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to multitask
  • Articulate, self-directed, team-oriented, able to work well with others
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, flexible environment
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field and 1 to 3 years of relevant experience

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Weekends and overnights as required for system updates and emergencies.

SALARY

$35,000- $50,000/ year

The initial compensation for the chosen candidate is determined by various job-related elements such as education, experience, and training. The position also comes with an array of benefits such as medical coverage, a Health Savings Account, a Health Reimbursement Arrangement, a 403(b) plan with matching contributions, life insurance, disability benefits, ten paid holidays, five PTO days, and ten vacation days allowable within the first year.
