Real Christmas Honoring Veterans
The 30th Real Christmas Honoring Veterans will be held in the Waterloo Rec Center from 3:00-6:00 PM on December 7. The gym will be decorated to be the village of Bethlehem with shopkeepers and stable watchers dressed in costume. Each church will operate a shop with a free giveaway or activity complimenting Christmas. “This Christmas celebration is open to all families and individuals in the area. “Since it is also Pearl Harbor Day, we will be honoring local veterans.” At 4:30 the program will include prayers, music, prizes and a puppet show. Veterans will also be honored at this time. A Candlelight-Silent Night ceremony will close the event. As visitors leave, they will be given a cupcake for Jesus’ birthday.
