Family Life Sharathons are the primary method of raising the financial support needed to operate the ministry over a six-month period. Though there are several ways that Family Life receives operating funds throughout the year, by far the largest of those is the Spring and Fall sharathon. Sharathons take place as a live, on-air event over a four-day period. Regular radio programming is suspended during this time as announcers share how God works through the various arms of ministry. Popular music artists and program hosts are interviewed, uplifting music is played, and listeners become faith partners by financially supporting Family Life with their called-in faith promises or online donations. During the Sharathon, special challenges and contests create huge excitement and make Sharathon listening a highlight for listeners! Sharathon totals are updated each hour with anticipation and thrill building as the total reaches closer to the goal. While listening, check out the online auction which provides another fun avenue for you to support Family Life. The auction is live now and finishes the final day of Sharathon. Include a 5K race and a chicken barbeque on the final day of Sharathon and you can understand why many financial partners call this their favorite event of the year!

Do you remember a time in your life when you were made fun of or mocked because you were a “Christian”? Maybe you were challenged in a school setting because of your “old-fashioned” belief in the Bible. Or maybe family members disassociated themselves from you because you had become one of those “religions fanatics”. You might have sensed the sneers and whispers of co-workers because they considered you out of touch with science or reality because you believe that God created the world in which we live.
Years ago, these scenarios were the exception rather that the rule. However, today we find that it to be the mainstream thinking that those who consider themselves followers of Christ are becoming a hindrance to “progressiveness”. We really should not be surprised because Jesus told His disciples that we will be hated and despised because that is exactly how He was treated when He presented truth. Taking a STAND for the Lord and His truth is becoming more threatening, while standing together as believers is now more than ever an absolute necessity.
It is our time to STAND for truth!
Family Life not only seeks to bring followers of Jesus together but also to daily help, encourage, and equip you and your community of believers to STAND for Christ. When we see what is taking place in our churches to the north of us in Canada, when we experience the attack on religious freedoms that are becoming more and more prevalent in our major cities and communities in every state, when we see governments coming against the freedom of worship that we have been blessed with for centuries, it is our time to STAND for truth and Family Life is here to help!

Family Life’s Spring Sharathon is just around the corner from April 6-9. It is during those four days when we ask you to STAND with the ministry financially allowing it to continue fulfilling the purpose for which God has called it into existence. Our theme this Sharathon is (you probably have already guessed it) STAND incorporating the lyrics of a recent release by the Newsboys. The lyrics of this song are powerful.

500 for 5 Prayer Needs
- Thank the Lord for the wonderful response to the Fall Sharathon as we reached 114% of our goal, which was an all-time high. Pray that as new stations have come on the air, God will bless the Spring Sharathon to also reach and even surpass its goal.
- Thank God for the incredible team of staff members and volunteers that He has brought to Family Life. Pray that the Lord will fill the open positions that the ministry currently has and that He would add more to our volunteer base to meet all our needs for events.
- Thank the Lord for the great progress made at the new building site with the demolition work nearly complete. Pray that God would miraculously provide for the next step which is the most expensive part of the project to date.
- Thank God for being able to do events once again throughout New York and Pennsylvania after having to shut down for the past two years because of the pandemic. Pray that the Lord would use each upcoming dinner, concert, theater productions, and counseling endeavors to bring glory to Him by drawing people closer to Jesus.
- Thank the Lord for the wonderful men and women on Family Life’s Board of Directors. Pray that God would continue to give the Board extreme wisdom as we move forward with a number of major projects.
- Thank God for the incredible increase in the radio network with ten new stations either on the air or being currently built. Pray that the Lord would provide the significant funds needed to build the towers and purchase the equipment needed to get each station up and running.
- Thank the Lord for the blessing of every Faith Partner who has supported the ministry this past year. Pray that God would speak to the hearts of thousands of listeners in the upcoming Sharathon so that we would reach 10,000 Faith Partners for the first time ever.
- Thank God for each ministry department at Family Life including Radio, Performing Arts, Hope & Healing Counseling, and Events. Pray that the Lord would use each of these outreaches to be the most effective and productive for His glory.
- Thank the Lord for vision that He has given to the leadership at Family Life. Pray that they would seek God daily for direction and wisdom.
- Thank God for blessing the ministry of Family Life for 65 years now. Pray that the Lord would always receive the glory for everything that is accomplished at Family Life and that He would continue to pour out His favor and blessing as the staff seeks to be faithful to His call.
